Supply & Production Planner
A growing food and beverage manufacturing company
in the Houston area is seeking a Supply & Production Planner
to support manufacturing operations by managing production schedules, demand forecasts, and inventory planning.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating across departments, and ensuring production runs smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Supply & Production Planner will work closely with procurement, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to align materials, inventory, and production schedules with customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules
aligned with demand forecasts and plant capacity
- Manage inventory levels, raw materials, and packaging supply
to support production needs
- Monitor supplier lead times and material availability
to prevent production delays
- Track and analyze planning metrics such as inventory turns, fill rates, forecast accuracy, and schedule adherence
- Build and maintain Excel-based planning models and reports
- Coordinate closely with procurement, production, warehouse, and logistics teams
- Identify potential supply risks and proactively escalate issues
- Support new product launches by coordinating material readiness and production planning
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
preferred
- 2–4 years of experience
in supply planning, production planning, or supply chain roles
- Experience working in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
preferred
- Experience with ERP systems
(NetSuite or similar strongly preferred)
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and planning models
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish language skills are a plus
Work Environment
This role works primarily in an office environment but requires regular interaction with warehouse and food-grade manufacturing operations
