Growing company is looking for a highly skilled Finance Manager to join the team.
 
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
•      Underwriting
o   Build and manage proforma models for ground-up and existing asset opportunities.
o  Lead due diligence efforts, including managing data rooms and coordinating timelines and priorities with third-party partners.
o   Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and equity and debt partners
o Aggregate and analyze project-level data to track progress, identify risks, and notify management when intervention is necessary to ensure deadlines are met
Support the accurate completion of various internal and external reports
o   Work with Asset Management to develop and maintain quality control procedures.
•       Management of the FP&A cycle including working with the Assistant Controller to:
o   Prepare and maintain asset-level budgeting models, including compiling and validating property-level data.
o   Develop corporate-level budgeting and roll-up models that aggregate asset-level results for consolidated reporting and analysis.
o   Prepare capital pacing schedules (i.e., scheduling of capital calls and distributions) of Cash forecasting projections.
o   Analyze financial results against budget and identify variances and trends.
•       Lead the development and mentorship of analysts through active coaching.
•       Ensure company compliance with joint venture operating agreements, loan agreements, management contracts and any related agreements/documents.
•       Build and maintain data-driven joint venture waterfall models, leveraging workflows to streamline calculations, accuracy, and distribution analysis.
Requirements
•       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience in a related field (finance/accounting)
•       Advanced financial modeling (e.g., three-statement models, 13-week cash flow) and Excel proficiency required.  
•       Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel-based data compilation and transformation tools (Power Query, Power Pivot), and Microsoft O8ice (Word, PowerPoint)
•        Strong people skills and mentorship ability; must be comfortable leading calls in a professional manner; ability to interact with brokers, investors, partners, and other critical stakeholders with varying levels of investment sophistication.
•       Strong diligence with a focus on organization and creativity; ability to manage a diverse set of projects with multiple/competing deadlines.
•       Initiative-taking and curious, with a technology-forward mindset and the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with occasional extended hours.
•       Prior real estate finance experience required; LIHTC experience strongly preferred and familiarity with Yardi a plus.
